Oriwu Senior Model College, the premier college, in Ikorodu Division, has again reaffirmed her towering excellence in achieving success. The school announced records of outstanding achievements in the month of November.
In a statement by the school today, the school celebrates some of its students for the feats recorded in the Lagos State Chamber Of Commerce & Industry LCCI Annual Secondary Schools Essay and Debate Competition where the school emerged as the winner, African Principals Conference Initiative 2025, National Debate Competition on Secure Based Attachment in Nigeria Schools, where the school also emerged winner and 60th Anniversary Celebration of The Exclusive Club Ikorodu, where the school also came top among others.

“The month of November was marked by different achievements in different competitions. These winnings are a testament to the unwavering commitment of the school’s management under the leadership of Iyabo Idowu Elusakin and dedicated teachers to sustaining excellence.
“The school, ably represented by Rhoda Aluko and Adedara Oreoluwa emerged winners at the Lagos State Chamber of Commerce & Industry LCCI Annual Secondary Schools Essay and Debate Competition held on the 27th November, 2025.
“Oriwu Senior Model College, Ikorodu came first in the African Principals Conference Initiative 2025, National Debate Competition on Secure Based Attachment in Nigeria Schools. The APCI organised this debate to commemorate the 2025 National Week of Action Against Bullying and Violence in Schools. Kemi Owaboye and Abigail Abraham represented the school at the competition on the 28th November, 2025 at the Airport Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos State.

“Also, a contingent of students represented the school at the 60th Anniversary Celebration of The Exclusive Club Ikorodu on the 29th November, 2025.
Other competitions the school participated in are as follows:
“Maryam Owolewa came first in the Beaded Bag Competition, Umar Obadimeji was second in the Lagos State Beaded Logo Competition, Khadijat Usman and Aliyah Adekanmbi came third in the Straw Mat Competition, Daniel Solawon was third in the Painting Competition, and Abdulbasit Aranibanidebe and Ismail Akobada emerged first and second respectively in the Digital Presentation Competition.

“Oriwu Senior Model College has distinguished herself from other schools in Ikorodu and Lagos State in general,” the school affirmed in the official statement.
